Naeem scoops up GBCC Future Faces Award!
The stage was all set. It was a wonderfully mild September evening and the Notepad team were heading to the International Convention Centre (via the Old Crown) suited, booted and full of anticipation.
Our Notepad founder and leader Naeem Alvi had been nominated for The Future Face of Sales, Marketing & Communications Award. The prestigious accolade would be presented to the winner at the 5th Annual Future Faces Dinner & Awards Celebration.
Future Faces is an ever growing network of ambitious young professionals, powered by the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, and their awards night recognises some of the very best talent that the region has to offer.
Over 500 onlookers packed into a sold-out ICC for what was sure to be a splendid occasion, a testament to the excellent work being carried out by Future Faces. And whilst it would certainly be a night for celebration, it would also support a good cause, with over £3,600 being raised for Birmingham Women’s Hospital.
After polishing off our meals and enjoying the entertainment on show, the time had finally arrived for the winners to be announced. Naeem clearly wasn’t feeling overly confident as he didn’t see the need to pre-emptively remove his suit jacket from the back of his chair.
However, the results were read out (drum roll please), and evidently to Naeem’s surprise, he was crowned as the The Future Face of Sales, Marketing & Communications for Greater Birmingham 2019. A phenomenal achievement. And with a brimming smile comprised of elation and shock in equal measures, Naeem took to the stage to collect his well-deserved award, with a hastily put on jacket to boot!
Naeem is the inspiration and driving force behind Notepad. The judging panel were hugely impressed by the extraordinary rate at which the company has grown, and in the space of two years since launching in mid-2017, Notepad has gone on to work with more than 50 local, national & global brands. Creating stunning, futureproof brands for the likes of Oxbridge, Whisk, Growfactor and many other organisations in the process.
It was a fantastic evening for all involved with Notepad, Naeem very modestly stated that this was a team award, which may be true to some extent, but the personal accomplishment behind the prize should not be overlooked. Notepad has been on a constant upward trajectory under Naeem’s direction and we are all excited to see what the future holds. And it’s safe to say that we celebrated the award into the early hours of the morning!
