LoveBrum’s Challenge

When LoveBrum and Notepad partnered together on a much-needed creative campaign, it was done so with some very clear goals in mind:

To reposition the LoveBrum visual brand to present them as a serious charity that tackles serious issues through funding grassroot charities and individuals.

And to continue building the LoveBrum brand’s profile, raising vital funds to support ongoing projects.

This was an exciting project that our team could not wait to get stuck into, not only because of its creative potential, but the fantastic impacts it could have for our city, local people and our communities.

Hidden Heroes

LoveBrum is known for finding and supporting small, volunteer-led projects, and together we decided that it would be time to put the spotlight on these fantastic people. Showing the important issues they are tackling, and their own stories. This led us to the development of the “Hidden Heroes” concept.

The final creative would see us pair our Heroes with some hard-hitting copy, letting the whole of Birmingham know exactly what they are trying to achieve, and that by supporting LoveBrum you are supporting them directly.

Personable, engaging and impactful. We couldn’t wait to roll it out.

Bringing the campaign to life

It’s safe to say that it was a highlight for us all seeing the spectacular mural showcasing Malachi Nunes and Ambitious Lives go up in its prime location on Digbeth High Street. The centrepiece of a campaign to celebrate community champions whilst tackling the serious issues of crime, homelessness, and domestic violence.

This truly brought the campaign to life whilst capturing the attention of the public and media, with further incredible OOH ads seen near Birmingham Curzon Street’s HS2 development. The #HiddenHeroes campaign has since been shortlisted at the 2024 Midlands Marketing Awards and we look forward to the results!

“We wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone here from LoveBrum. We’re so proud that the LoveBrum #HiddenHeroes campaign has been shortlisted at the 2024 Midlands Marketing Awards! What you’ve helped us achieve - from the design work to the photography to the amazing mural to the top-class media content - doesn’t just set a new level for the charity, it genuinely makes a huge difference to the causes we support and the people they help. It’s a fantastic campaign and a killer launch activation. I can’t thank you enough.”
